The Nairobi - Masai Mara - Naivasha - Amboseli - Tsavo East circuit is one of Kenya’s most rewarding safari routes, offering a blend of iconic wildlife, diverse landscapes, and cultural experiences. Starting from Nairobi, travelers head to the Masai Mara, renowned for its sweeping savannahs, big cats, and the Great Migration. From there, the journey continues to Lake Naivasha in the Rift Valley, a tranquil stop known for birdlife, hippos, and boat rides. Amboseli follows, with its breathtaking views of Mount Kilimanjaro and large elephant herds, before moving on to Tsavo East, a vast wilderness famous for its red-dusted elephants and rugged terrain. This route balances popular highlights with quieter, less-crowded parks, making it ideal for a comprehensive safari experience that can end either back in Nairobi or at Kenya’s coast for a beach extension.
